The PROGRAM YETTI is the first choice of adaptive ski instruction programs throughout the US and in many European countries. Its basic single pivot point design along with the tight boot fit seat makes it an extremely easy turning and quick edge to edge monoski. Even first time students are able to achieve success! The loading system is on the side to maintain the tight fit of the body in the seat, and is much easier to use with the conventional binding system. The ski foot and the binding also make the monoski more level and stable in the load position. There are also several options for loading: if the skier is strong enough to push up using the outriggers, the handle is not necessary, if the skier is able to lift enough, it may not be necessary for the frame to separate. In the latter instance a quick "pop up" by the skier along with a "footbucket assist," (a push on the footplate by the lift op or ski buddy to make sure the monoski is completely back onto the chair seat,) is all that’s needed. Instructors like the wide range of "no tools" adjustability in the YETTI which allows them to quickly fit their student in the unit and then spend more of their lesson time on the hill. The adjustment built into the binding system allows for fine tuning of the student’s weight placement on the ski to further facilitate turning. Body size differences can be accommodated simply by changing inserts, (available in S,M,L, or XL,) in the seats. The seat insert, covered with waterproof vinyl, also provides the skier with comfort and superior pressure sore protection. This is just one of the many safety features that are unique to YETTI. The shock on this unit has built in rebound dampening and adjustable spring tension. The PROGRAM YETTI package is a great value. For one low price you receive the monoski, a K2 shaped ski, one seat insert (size of your choice,) a pair of outriggers, a ski foot, and a pinned conventional binding.
